摘要: The recent discovery of a ferroelectric response to switching electric field in nematic phases exhibited by bent-core polar molecules, particularly 1,2,4-oxdiazole derivatives, could lead new avenues for the development electro-optic devices. For first time, we report ferroelectric-like under influence triangular wave phase unsymmetrical achiral four-ring compounds. These exhibiting large range (>70 °C), consist two unequal lengths wings and possess moiety at one end an alkyloxy chain other end. An anomalous variation spontaneous polarization as function temperature is distinctly observed, which similar results reported only low region phase. Electro-optical, current-response dielectric studies aligned samples corroborate earlier reports proposed structure cybotactic clusters these phases.
