Feedback ramp metering using Godunov method based hybrid model

摘要: This paper presents a feedback control design for an isolated freeway ramp that utilizes hybrid dynamical model the traffic using Godunov's numerical technique. Feedback metering designs in past have relied on either discretized linearized method such as ALINEA, or nonlinear based ordinary differential equations model. However, lumped parameter models fail to represent rarefaction wave phenomenon of distrbuted uses Godunov which is proposed, and simulation results are presented.
