摘要: Divergence time analyses in the coffee family (Rubiaceae) have all relied on same Gentianales crown group age estimate, reported by an earlier analysis of asterids, for defining upper bound root node their analyses. However, not only did asterid suffer from several analytical shortcomings, but estimate itself has been used highly inconsistent ways these Rubiaceae Based original data, we here reanalyze divergence times asterids using relaxed-clock models and 14 fossil-based minimum constraints. We also expand data set to include additional 67 taxa sampled across three subfamilies recognized family. Three are conducted: a separate which completely mirrors terms taxon sample data; Gentianales, where result first is secondary calibration point; combined analyzed simultaneously. Results presented form time-calibrated phylogeny, estimates groups, major groups compared discussed relation previously published estimates. Our updated provide significant step forward towards long term goal establishing robust temporal framework this biologically diverse fascinating plants.
