摘要: An experimental study was conducted using the dumping technique (total cylinder sampling) to produce mass-averaged nitric oxide histories. Data were taken a four stroke diesel research engine employing quiescent chamber, high pressure direct ijection fuel system, and simulated turbocharging. Two fuels used determine cetane number effects. loads run, one at an equivalence ratio of 0.5 other 0.3. The speed held constant 1500 rpm. Under turbocharged retarded timing conditions this study, produced up point about 85% mass burned. different models simulate mn conditions: phenomenological Hiroyasu spray-combustion model, three dimensional, U.W.-ERO modified KIVA-lI computational fluid dynamic code. Both predicted correct trend. Although combustion model Zeldovich kinetics correctly shapes histories, it did not predict exhaust concentrations without arbitrary adjustment based on values.
