Revising centralized certificate validation standards for mobile and wireless communications

摘要: Significant specification effort has been contributed on the issue of certificate validation in traditional networking. The emergence mobile and ubiquitous computing brought about new requirements limitations. Providing Certificate Status Information (CSI) such restricted environments is necessary for trust security. In this paper, we review standards' specifications suggestions optimization propose ADOPT (Ad hoc Distributed OCSP Trust), a protocol which can be successfully applied MANETs but also wireless networks. A practical comparison between other standards demonstrates that performs better terms overhead
