Charge form factor and vacuum polarization corrections to the μ− rate in3He

摘要: The form factor analysis by Schiff of electron-tri-nucleon scattering data and the dipole nucleon factors are used to obtain charge density function for3He. This is employed, along with vacuum polarization contribution, calculate a reliable finite size correction μ−-meson capture rates in3He. We find reduction 3.43% from commonly value for muon inside nucleus calculated nonrelativistic wave point charge. Incorporation present corrections into previous theoretical μ− analyses leads strengthening Oakes’ conclusion on preference Irving over Irving-Gunn three-nucleon brings one induced tensor coupling constant values found Bietti agreement recent work Fearing which yieldedgT(ω)≳35gv(ω).
