摘要: To develop activity-based travel models using microsimulation, individual travelers and households must be considered. Methods for creating baseline synthetic populations of persons 1990 census data are given. Summary tables from the Census Bureau STF-3A used in conjunction with Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS), Iterative Proportional Fitting (IPF) is applied to estimate proportion a block group or tract desired combination demographics. Households generated by selection associated PUMS according these proportions. The demographic proportions which exploited here make household selections may traditional modeling. procedures validated pseudo tracts samples considering joint distribution size number vehicles households. It shown that distributions created methods do not differ substantially true values. Additionally effects small changes procedure, such as imputation additional demographics adding partial counts constructed discussed paper.
