摘要: Small bowel adenocarcinoma is part of the tumor spectrum Lynch syndrome, which caused by germline mutations in mismatch repair genes. The present study describes case a 51-year-old man fulfilling Amsterdam II criteria for who had 15-mm early-stage colorectal cancer resected endoscopically from ascending colon. Due to upper abdominal discomfort after eating and consequent anorexia, computed tomography scan performed 1 month later showed tumoral mass jejunum with local lymphadenopathy. laparotomy revealed completely obstructing mass. Intraoperative frozen section small adenocarcinoma. Subsequent genetic testing confirmed mutation mutL homolog 1. patient received 6 cycles an adjuvant folinic acid, fluorouracil ocaliplatin chemotherapy regimen. latest CT scan, 16 months chemotherapy, did not show any recurrence. This highlights importance considering possibility patients obstruction, particularly syndrome.
