摘要: We introduce the Polar-Annular Mesh representation (PAM). A PAM is a mesh-skeleton co-representation designed for modeling of 3D organic, articulated shapes. represents manifold mesh as partition polar (triangle fans) and annular (rings quads) regions. The skeletal topology shape uniquely embedded in connectivity PAM, enabling both surface operations, interchangeably directly on itself. develop an algorithm to convert arbitrary triangle meshes into PAMs well techniques simplify method quad-only mesh. further present PAM-based multi-touch sculpting application order demonstrate its utility interactive figures editing posing pre-existing models.
