摘要: When a strong vortical wake impacts structure, the pressure on impacted surface sees large variations in its amplitude. This fluctuation is one of main sources causing severe structural vibration and hydrodynamic noise. Economical effective prediction methods fluctuating are required by engineers many fields. paper presents impingement model (WIM) that was incorporated into panel method code, Propella, applications simulations podded propeller impacting strut. Simulated strut distributions compared with experimental data terms time-averaged components phase-averaged components. The comparisons show calculated results good agreement data.
