摘要: Grazing-incidence Ar+ ion sputtering has been used to produce nanoscale ripples on the surface of Fe∕Mg(001) system. This way, a uniaxial anisotropy with both controllable strength and orientation can be superimposed top cubic anisotropy, resulting in Fe∕MgO(001) films unusual symmetry. By combining longitudinal transverse Kerr-effect measurements, different switching processes are revealed. Depending external magnetic field, one-jump, two-jump, “reverse” two-jump magnetization reversals observed. A simple model, which takes into account relevant energies, is developed explain experimentally observed fields evaluate domain wall pinning energies sputtered sample.
