摘要: Special enhanced silver mirror coatings were designed and fabricated to minimize the polarization introduced by a three-mirror off-axis high-accuracy telescope. A system diattenuation of approximately 1% in VIS-NIR was achieved by both reducing from each individually balancing diattenuations the three mirrors over spectral range. This process low-polarization engineering involves minimizing system polarization surface geometry, thin film birefringent elements, measuring system. In this report we will outline methodology instrumental aberrations, with an emphasis on achieving low MSPI camera, given its off-axis geometry coating design constraints imposed by the space-based application. technique for can be applied astrophysics applications.
