摘要: This paper presents a method to compute partition intended be used in region-based coding system where the number of regions is design constraint. A new flat zone approach introduced that (a) selects subset those zones (regions) are present output multiscale connected filter, and (b) assigns rest one among selected by using merging procedures. The filters sequential alternating filter recently presented. These operators, invariant under anamorphosis, act on function extending its exclusively. theoretical proposition stated. Our segmentation behaves like operator it preserves inclusion property between input partition. Moreover, computed at highest resolution level can imposed successive coarser levels. Among which most significant ones with respect several criteria distinguished. region selection based solely an ordering regions. Absolute thresholding avoided, proposed computes linear dynamic changes.© (1993) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering. Downloading abstract permitted personal use only.
