摘要: Thanks to the presence of a π–electron conjugated system, few organic polymers, such as polypyrrole (PPy), polyaniline (PANI), polythiophene (PTh), and relevant derivatives, are classified semiconductors that become well conductive by partial oxidation or reduction. By following an improper analogy with inorganic semi-conductors this process has been called ‘doping’. For peculiar characteristic, similar materials ‘intrinsically conducting polymers’ (ICPs). The structures most meaningful ICPs displayed in Fig. 2.1.
