摘要: Abstract Zircon ceramics (ZrSiO4) are promising candidates for actinide immobilization. Here, a series of Zr1-xNdxSiO4-x/2 (x = 0, 0.02, 0.20, and 1.0) prepared to study the effects phase evolution acidity on chemical durability ZrSiO4-based nuclear waste forms. The results show that stability single-phase ZrSiO4 sample is better than biphasic Zr0.8Nd0.2SiO3.9 due existence secondary highly soluble (Nd2Si2O7), which increases contact area with leachate. normalized release rates both zirconium (Zr) neodymium (Nd) in ceramic forms increase increasing Nd loading acid concentration. LRZr LRNd Zr0.98Nd0.02SiO3.99 lowest, while reach highest values Nd2Si2O7 ceramics, respectively. Zr lower those difference energies their bonds oxygen atoms. Moreover, changes surfaces leached consistent leaching results.
