摘要: Aims: To investigate the effect of gas composition on sensitivity Bacillus pumilus spores to plasmas. Methods and Results: Inert plasmas, oxygen-based plasmas various moisturized air were used inactivate B. in low pressure 50 Pa. Although treatment temperature did not exceed 55°C when exciting these spore survival varied widely depending feed. Higher mortality was acquired by inert gases molecular weight except for helium. The highest (4·54log reduction) obtained with a 0·05 molar fraction water vapour as plasma carrier gas. Conclusions: Water molecules play significant role inactivation spores. Significance Impact Study: This strong may occur through hydroxyl free radicals generated from plasma.
