摘要: Optimization of signal timings in traffic networks has been dominated by the application single-objective optimization methodology. This produces a single-compromise solution without providing any information on possible trade-off between objectives. In this chapter, multiobjective genetic algorithm is applied to simultaneous both delay and number stops. Several modifications search are considered, most efficient design identified. Multiobjective compared strategy found provide considerable benefits, particularly oversaturated conditions. The stops investigated, large reductions be costly terms delay. Longer cycle lengths, shorter green time for cross-street movements, multiphase control contribute reduction stops, but at cost increasing
