摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the monoamine oxidases (MAO) and MAO inhibitor drugs. Phenylethylamines indolethylamines appear to be endogenous substrates for tissue MAO. The m-O-methylated catecholamine metabolites have lower values than parent amines. Normetanephrine is a preferred substrate A as norepinephrine. Oxygen also required flavin-adenine dinucleotide found in most MAOs. relative efficiency with which enzyme oxidizes low concentrations of amine increases oxygen fall rendering relatively insensitive large fluctuations local concentrations. When crude preparations or prepared by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis are subjected high temperatures then tested activity, multiphasic loss activity observed suggesting existence multiple forms enzyme. By using specific drugs substrates, it appears that B more sensitive heat A. thermostability enzymes might useful indicator molecular nature enzymes. It demonstrated was dependent on presence phospholipid.
