摘要: In this chapter I describe how the moral and/or socioeconomic attributes of honour define an individual’s hierarchical positioning within societies and groups contribute to self-esteem. The relation between individuals whole group, class, or society is discussed. If emotions are defined as relatively short-term, bodily felt, expressed experiences, surely “state” being honourable living in dishonour cannot be understood emotion. When, however, individual honoured dishonoured because his her behaviour, reactions group elicit emotions—bodily felt expressed—that recognised social “pride” “shame,” respectively. thus ask whether, if so how, related feeling emotion pride those shame. This leads a general discussion shame pride, their ontogenetic embodiment, culture-specific elicitations later life.
