摘要: To achieve desired environmental outcomes, condition and trends need to be rigorously measured communicated resource managers, scientists, a broader general audience. However, there is often disconnect between responsive ecosystem monitoring decision making for strategic long-term management. This project demonstrates how historical data can synthesized used future planning making, thereby closing the management feedback cycle. study linked disparate datasets, collected variety of purposes across multiple temporal spatial scales, in order assess quantify current habitat conditions. The results inform integrated decision-making at Assateague Island National Seashore (Maryland Virginia, USA) by using ecological reference conditions identify needs, areas high vulnerability, with potential improved approach also provides framework that applied effectiveness these decisions on island habitats, replicable demonstration incorporating diverse datasets into an adaptive
