摘要: Abstract Post-placement mother and family functioning was examined in 87 families who had adopted children with developmental disabilities. Using a semistructured interview self-report questionnaire methodology, the relationships among 9 predictor 4 outcome variables were assessed. Although, general, adoptive mothers expressed high satisfaction adoptions, several did significantly differentiate outcomes perceived as more less successful. Specifically, family's initial reactions to placement positively related adjustment approximately 5 years later, whereas demographic such educational level income not predict outcome. The placements best self-reported ones which few reservations nondepressed at beginning of placement, married, greater experience handicapping conditions, stronger religious beliefs. These results discussed reference their implications for adoption post-placement interventions services.
