摘要: PURPOSE To evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of cyclopentolate 1% administered as a spray in pediatric patients between 3 6 years old. METHODS In this prospective, randomized, parallel group study, healthy volunteers were randomly assigned to receive single drop or puff into closed eyes. RESULTS There 61 included study; 31 received drops 30 spray. The mean age at presentation was 4.5 ± 1.07 (range: years) 4.2 1.06 groups, respectively. distress level significantly lower time receiving (P < .0001), with exception aged years. no significant differences pupil diameter two groups = .51), whereas 5 (16.6%) dark irises who did not have adequate cycloplegia allow for accurate refraction. CONCLUSIONS Cycloplegia achieved may be an option uncooperative children because it is less distressing compared drops. However, physicians should aware that obtained only partially effective irises.
