摘要: Abstract Bench-scale testing was used to evaluate the efficacy of four decontamination formulations on typical indoor surfaces following exposure liquid chemical warfare agents sarin (GB), soman (GD), sulfur mustard (HD), and VX. Residual surface contamination coupons periodically measured for up 24 h after applying one selected technologies [0.5% bleach solution with trisodium phosphate, Allen Vanguard Surface Decontamination Foam (SDF™), U.S. military Decon Green™, Modec Inc. EnviroFoam Technologies Sandia (DF-200)]. All tested, except solution, performed well nonporous nonpermeable glass stainless-steel surfaces. However, agent residual typically remained porous permeable surfaces, especially more persistent agents, HD Solvent-based Green™ better than aqueous-based or foams polymeric possibly because solvent is able penetrate polymer matrix. Bleach out-performed Green penetrating highly polar concrete surface. Results suggest that different characteristics needed an ideal universal technology may be incompatible in a single formulation strategy decontaminating complex facility will require range technologies.
