An Analytical Model on the Propagation of Modern Email Worms

摘要: Email worms propagate across networks by taking advantage of email relationships. Modeling the propagation can help predict their potential damages and develop countermeasures. We propose a novel analytical model on process modern reinfection worms. It relies probabilistic analysis, thus provide steady reliable assessment dynamics. Additionally, introducing virtual users to represent repetitious spreading process, proposed overcomes computational challenge caused processes. To demonstrate benefits our model, we conduct series experimental evaluation. The results show that approach achieves greater accuracy is more suitable for modeling than previous models.
