摘要: The complexes trans-bis[2-(aminomethyl)-1H-benzimidazole-κ 2 N′,N″]diaquazinc(II) dichloride dihydrate 1 and N′,N″]aquazinc(II) were synthesized selectively by the promotion of O–H···Cl hydrogen bond interactions. hexacoordinated complex was at pH 4.5. dilution in deionized water produced pentacoordinated 2. NMR vibrational spectroscopies corroborated presence these compounds. Moreover, mass spectrometry thermogravimetric (TGA) studies demonstrated that chloride ions crystallization molecules are essential for stabilization but not X-ray diffraction crystallography indicated two bonded to Zn atom elongated all coordination bonds. incidence a network interactions compensates unstable hexacoordination. Natural orbital (NBO) quantum theory atoms (QTAIM) crystal structures used explain nature bonds complexes’ stability .
