摘要: Basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) is a potent endothelial cell that does not normally circulate in healthy nonpregnant adults. bFGF has been reported plasma from patients with certain tumors consistent postulated role tumor angiogenesis. In the present study we used an bioassay to test for bFGF-like substance and urine noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. We found increased immunoreactivity correlated growth-promoting activity subset of diabetic persistent microalbuminuria or overt proteinuria. Plasma (bFGF-like) was significantly glycosylated hemoglobin (P < 0.05), but patient age, race, degree proteinuria, systolic blood pressure. group microalbuminuric proteinuric subjects well matched according baseline clinical characteristics, decreased 0.0001) subgroup who were being treated angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor simultaneous drawing assay. inhibitor, multiple regression analysis showed retinopathy only variable associated activity. These results imply may contribute pathophysiology heterogeneous mellitus
