摘要: Abstract The present study shows the results of direct ceramization textile substrates with commercial derived TiO2 nanosols. A deep investigation on relationship between based nanosols and nanocoatings properties their performances in term hydrophilicity photocatalytic efficiency was performed. Five nanosols, differing for starting pH relative agglomerates size were analyzed. hydrophilic behavior catalytic performance coatings supported different (fabric, glass ceramic) assessed related to physicochemical characterization results. described correlations nanoscale (nanostructure or surface chemistry), macroscale (hydrophilicity), as well functional (photocatalytic activity), represents a first attempt provide sound criteria control material by design experiments. dependent aggregation state, is correlated an increase acidity shift i.e.p. towards acid reveals. Such justifies hydrophilicity, consequent stronger interaction water molecules, that occurs when higher amount Ti−O− sites are available. As well, behavior, resulted good agreement: better self-cleaning activity, so providing useful indications scale-up exploitation such application.
