摘要: Introduction: Hallucinations that involve shifts in the subjectively experienced location of self, have been termed “out-of-body experiences” (OBEs). Early psychiatric accounts cast OBEs as a specific instance depersonalisation and derealisation disorder (DPD-DR). However, during feelings alienation lack body realism DPD-DR self is within physical body. Deliberate forms “disembodiment” enable humans to imagine another’s visuo-spatial perspective taking (VPT), thus, if strong relationship between deliberate spontaneous disembodiment could be revealed, then uncontrolled “the other side coin” uniquely human capacity. Methods: We present narrative review behavioural neuroimaging work emphasising methodological theoretical aspects OBE VPT research potential relationship. Results: Results regarding direct are mixed we discuss reasons by pointing out importance using realistic tasks recruiting genuine OBEers instead general patients. Furthermore, evidence showing overlapping neural substrates OBE, providing argument for two processes. Conclusions: conclude should regarded necessary implication ability humans, or even potentially sufficient condition evolution VPT.
