摘要: Exocytosis, the process by which intracellular vesicles fuse with inner surface of plasma membrane, is thought to be main mechanism underlying synaptic transmission at noradrenergic nerve terminals. A detailed study mechanisms involved has been hampered relative inaccesibility cytosol markers that report chemical changes associated secretion, or solutes clamp composition site exocytosis. For this reason we have used not sympathetic terminals as our experimental preparation, but instead adrenal medullary (chromaffin) cell [1]. Although medulla part endocrine system, cells are derived embryologically from neural crest tissue and retain neuronal properties excitable tissue, they exhibit sodium dependent action potentials voltage sensitive calcium channels [2]. One marked difference between an a terminal rate secretion transmitter. All evidence suggests noradrenaline secreted form within milliseconds arrival potential, whereas adrena proceeds much slower [3]. Apart serves excellent model neurone in catecholamine short article reviews approaches here King’s College, results conclusions reached, direction will taking future.
