摘要: Abstract Objectives To develop a suprapubic catheter (SPC) training model as no specific realistic exists to replicate SPC exchange where tract is present. Materials and methods We describe novel, anatomically realistic, animal simulator for use in training, which was trialed at national urology simulation boot camp by new trainees validated expert urologists. A scale reproduction of an abdominal wall created using porcine wall. segment small bowel stitched around size 16F Foley form tract. Abdominal tissue excised cylindrically create opening, the passed through sutured anteriorly, producing tract: inferiorly, anastomosed urinary bladder. This evaluated 10 urologists content validity with 8-item 5-point rating used evaluate domains relevant simulator. Results The were scored between 1 5 urologists, being «strongly disagree» agree». average ratings then calculated tabulated following course. There global 4.2/5 model, usefulness score 4.6/5. Conclusion feedback from experts (informal) overwhelmingly positive. On average, our reported high satisfaction their experience this tool.
