摘要: A retrospective analysis of 218 patients with gram-negative rod bacteremia was made in order to evaluate factors affecting survival these patients. In comparable underlying disease, no significant increase mortality found be associated race, sex, hospital service, level leukocyte count, hospital-acquired infection, or the portal entry infection. Factors an increased from were shock, azotemia, Pseu- domonas bacteremia, and low normal temperature during bacteremia. Appropriate antibiotic therapy significantly all except those most severe disease. combination antibiotics including colistimethate sodium, kanamycin sulfate, penicillin, its congeners, provided effective antimicrobial against a higher percent bacterial strains causing than other drug regimens used period this study.
