摘要: Coughing is a reflex phenomenon that protective for the upper airways, involving both arc in brainstem and cortical control. Ictal coughing has been prominently reported temporal lobe seizures, but precise anatomo-electrical correlations are lacking. We report patient who presented with persistent at seizure onset. studied intracerebrally recorded seizures (using stereo-electroencephalography) order to describe anatomo-functional associated this sign. followed onset medial lobe. A functional connectivity study (h2 estimation of interdependencies) showed during coughing, network subcortical regions was involved, particularly perisylvian cortices caudate nucleus.
