On the Hysteresis of Current Density-Voltage Curves of Dye-sensitized Solar Cells

摘要: Abstract Here, we report on the dependence of current density-voltage (j-V) curves dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) condition potential sweep – direction and delay time. The phenomenon, termed as hysteresis, is ambiguously attributed to capacitive nature mesoporous TiO2 photoelectrode or diffusional pseudo capacitance electrolyte solution in DSSCs. To explain here, have developed a simple model translating fundamental processes: generation, transport accumulation charges working DSSC. numerical corresponding time-dependent j-V equation allowed us calculate for different directions calculation suggests that hysteresis originates at open circuit region due double layer counter electrode maximum power chemical film. Moreover, capacitance, exposed substrate/electrolyte interface, affects short if time extremely short. All these elements are strongly related electrolyte; however, mechanism needs be explored further.
