摘要: The pelagic (589 spp.) and demersal (505 oceanic ichthyofaunas of the North Atlantic Basin have very different compositions at ordinal family level. Yet pattern relationships between species' maximum size fecundity from data available (10% pelagic, 19% species) was similar. A positive relationship weight confirmed among most teleosts, but not followed by elasmobranchs represented. Species' reproductive styles are reviewed in groupings within a framework overall body size/fecundity distribution. Species (maximum weight) spectra were synthesized for both assemblages to assess allocation potential effort throughout ichthyofauna. only examples species biomass ichthyofauna this ocean basin imply geographic bathymetric variation fishes whose is dependent. Further implications concerning discussed light food availability.
