摘要: The emission of low molecular weight compounds from recycled high-impact polystyrene (HIPS) has been investigated using headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Four released target analytes (styrene, benzaldehyde, acetophenone, 2-phenylpropanal) were selected for the optimisation HS-SPME sampling procedure, by analysing operating parameters such as type SPME fibre (polarity mechanism), particle size, extraction temperature time. 26 different identified to be at temperatures HIPS, including residues polymerisation, oxidated derivates styrene, additives. employed in procedure affected detection emitted components. An adsorptive carbowax/polydimethylsiloxane (CAR/PDMS fibre) offered good selectivity both non-polar polar volatile lower temperatures; higher result interferences less-volatile compounds. absorptive polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) is suitable molecules temperatures. nature relative amount increased with exposure smaller polymeric size. proves a technique screening semi-volatile organic (SVOCs) materials; reliable quantification content HIPS however difficult due complex mass-transfer processes involved, matrix effects, difficulties equilibrating analytical system.
