摘要: Effective policy responses of governments to the impacts unavoidable climate change require effective adaptation plans. This paper presents results original research conducted in New South Wales, Australia, on planning response local for adapting physical change. Local government is level governance that at ‘coal face’ dealing with sea rise, coastal erosion, increased storm events, flooding, drought and other Australia. The study investigates perceptions planners regarding actions taken within their area plan change, effectiveness response, what further they perceive should be undertaken future. applied evaluation a postpositivist paradigm analysed through theoretical framework adaptive management. indicate more needs done including conducting risk assessments, development collaboration between councils.
