摘要: Abstract The production of thermostable xylanase by a newly isolated Penicillium citrinum xym2 was optimized one factor at time (OFAT) and response surface methodology (RSM) approaches. Optimization OFAT approach indicated medium pH 4.0, wheat bran 1% (w/v), maltose 1.25% di-ammonium hydrogen phosphate 0.09% cultivation temperature 30 °C, incubation 72 h as optimal conditions for 1853 IU/ml. Three effective variables, concentration, were central composite rotatable design (CCRD) based RSM. interactions between these variables contributed to significant increased production. RSM level 1.5% (3.5) (30 °C) enhanced 2834 IU/ml. value or enzyme closer the model diagnosed 2845 IU/ml about 4 fold higher than in unoptimized basal medium. showed potential saccharification second generation feed stocks into sugars.
