Fluorescent detection of Hg2+ and Pb2+ using GeneFinder™ and an integrated functional nucleic acid

摘要: This paper reports a simple fluorescent assay for the determination of Hg(2+) and Pb(2+) by using DNA intercalator GeneFinder™ (GF) an integrated functional nucleic acid (FNA). In absence Pb(2+), GF intercalated with FNA released moderate strong fluorescence. While in presence or would be induced to form T-Hg(2+)-T G-quadruplex structure, interacted which exhibit extremely very weak By monitoring fluorescence changes upon addition these two ions, could selectively detected as low 3.23 ppb 2.62 ppb. As main advantage this is simplicity feasibility was demonstrated detecting spiked water samples, holds great potential development cost effective useful tool environmental monitoring.
