Parametric investigation on thermo-hydraulic performance of wire screen matrix packed solar air heater

摘要: Abstract This paper presents performance results of a wire screen matrix packed solar air heater based on mathematical model developed to investigate the effect various system and operating parameters thermo-hydraulic performance. A computer programme is in C++ estimate temperature rise entering for evaluation effective efficiency by solving governing equations numerically using relevant correlations heat transfer coefficient bed systems. The compared with experimental as well previous are found fairly agreement. Further, correlation determination extinction geometrical parameter matrix. Comparative study high low porosity matrices indicate superiority maximum 76% while it be 50%, showing an overall enhancement about 26%. value clearly indicates that there exists optimum duct depth (0.015–0.035 m), length (2–5 m) width (0.2–0.6 m) which best mass flow rates obtained 0.015 m, 5 m 0.5 m.
