摘要: Abstract We report the identification and initial family population studies of a previously undescribed serum protein polymorphism with two allelic forms. It was discovered in Hutterites, reproductively isolated religious sect, is also present Australian aborigines sample Chicago residents. A two-allele model consistent segregation pattern observed five kindreds within our study group. This polymorphism, provisionally designated SPPM-158, appears as horizontal (charge-based) doublet silver-stained ISO-DALT high-resolution two-dimensional electrophoresis gels. low-concentration polypeptide (approximately 1 mg/dL) that has an apparent MWSDS 43.6 kD isoelectric point approximately 5.5. We infer it circulates multimer or high-molecular-weight (greater than 200 kD) complex other proteins because not normal body fluids derived from physiologically ultrafiltered plasma such amniotic fluid, urine, cerebrospinal fluid; however, urine patients glomerular proteinuria. The high heterozygosity rates imply utility this new marker for both forensic studies.
