摘要: The adverse effect of therapeutic use sex hormones during pregnancy inducing pseudohermaphroditism in female offspring has been well known since the early 1950s. Consequently there great concern about potential effects on women who these agents gestation. Some studies have reported an association, particularly oral contraceptives used pregnancy, with specific types congenital defects, while this was not observed other studies. Here we present results a large case-control study prenatal exposure to each type hormone. Cases were those malformed infants unknown cause, that is, excluding syndromes and cases defects dominant or recessive inheritance, due recognized teratogens. controls selected from same population as are representative who, had they developed malformations, would cases. results, after controlling confounder factors different logistic regression analyses, do support hypothesis increases risk genital non-genital malformations.
