A quantitative genetic analysis of slow-wave sleep and rapid-eye movement sleep in CXB recombinant inbred mice.

摘要: Various inbred strains of mice show different daily amounts slow-wave sleep (SWS) and rapid-eye movement (REMS), suggesting the possibility genetic influences on propensity. Previous work by others studying spontaneous patterns seven CXB recombinant (RI) suggested several candidate quantitative trait loci (QTLs) associated with variation in REMS. Extending this approach, we evaluated 13 RI conducted linkage analyses based 223 discrete informative loci. The probability density distribution light phase REMS for showed deflections that correspond approximately to parental phenotypes.
