摘要: Abstract Chemical looping combustion (CLC) is a promising carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology. One of the challenges to find most suitable oxygen carrier (OC). Using solid fuels makes it important use cheap natural carriers, since there will probably be some loss bed material while discharging ash from system. Therefore ilmenite new micaceous iron oxide (MIOX ME 400) are compared with respect syngas conversion in 10 kW th bubbling fluidized (BFB) reactor. The OC was alternatively reduced either CO + H 2 or CH 4  + H oxidized air at 900 °C. MIOX 400 always higher (X CO , X H2  > 98%) than that ilmenite. Conversion also better for 400, even though still low. It can raised by increasing fuel reactor temperature 900 °C 950 °C which results 85–60% instead 60–40%.
