摘要: Effects of cement flue dust from Ewekoro Kilns were monitored at some aquatic receptor locations. High levels total suspended particulates (TSPs) and atmospheric deposition rates (ADRs) recorded within the factory compared to ancillary locations outside factory. The TSP ADR which location dependent significantly higher (P < 0.05) during dry periods than in wet season. Irrespective seasonal variations, key elements emissions Ca2 + Fe2 + . concentrations Zn2 + , Mn2 + Pb + trace deposited airborne particulates. planktonic flora fauna river systems draining area poor with 16 phytoplanktonic nine zooplanktonic species. Numerically, phytoplanktons dominated by diatoms (Bacillariophyta) Synedra sp. being most abundant rotifers had Lecane curvicornis as a regular occurrence all three catchment rivers. physicochemical parameters assayed effluent discharges water samples each Seasonal variations inclusive, HCO $_{3}^{-}$ , CO $_{3}^{2-}$ Mg2 + constituted major ionic component analysed irrespective location. Alaguntan River receives effluents directly ions other two rivers areas.
