摘要: Near and Mid infrared spectroscopy FT-Raman have been used to study silica/titania monoliths produced by the sol-gel route which subjected selected heat treatments. Increasing thermal treatment temperature leads a general strengthening of gel-glass matrix although incorporation low levels (3% weight) titanium into tetrahedral sites only, led more disordered glasses than for silica alone. Evidence has obtained formation Si-O-Ti bonds principally during later stages densification at temperatures between 615 1000°C. The addition also reduction in surface ‘free’ silanol together with an increase hydrogen bonded increasing amounts water associated glass. implication is that onto gel tighter binding molecules groups.
