Stigma as a Social and Cultural Construct

摘要: Much of the sociological and psychological literature on stigma focuses individual as central unit analysis, with little if any discussion devoted to sociohistorical context or cultural milieu within which experiences stigma. With this focus, however, an important key understanding puzzle is omitted.
