摘要: Industrial wastes generated from tanneries located in the southwestern part of Dhaka, pose serious threat to environment. Surface accumulation trivalent chromium reaching as high 28,000 mg/kg have been encountered at 1 km distance waste lagoon. In contrast, maximum concentration hexavalent is about mg/kg, and very irregularly distributed all over area. Although soil pH alkaline general, a sharp drop down 3.4 has observed some locations. Furthermore, chloride (Cl) lead (Pb) concentrations risk for city’s groundwater quality, which Pb vulnerable any chelate-assisted phytoremediation it can enhance its mobility. Scanning electron microscope study showed within structure clay minerals, mainly illite–smectite, also chlorite–chromian. Presence lepidocrocite indicates rather reactive phase undergo reductive dissolution release Cr
