摘要: Abstract Two series of copper single crystals, one ‘0 5’ orientation and the other [123] orientation, were fatigued in tension-compression over a range constant stress amplitudes. Above critical amplitude, strong correlation was found between strain amplitude fraction gauge area covered with persistent slip bands. Patterns etched on sections cut from crystal could be matched to pattern bands surface. These two results confirm that are surface indication changes dislocation structure within tension-compression. The crystals displayed three types fatigue behaviour as function analogous S, F, H stages defined by Wood co-workers torsion. Dislocation structures associated studied electron microscopy consistent those observed Lukas his collaborators.
