摘要: SUMMARY The Cattle Egret is a dry season visitor to Rokupr in Sierra Leone during the bird's non-breeding season. There are no cattle area attract herons and they obtain nearly all their food from small isolated areas of vegetable gardens which associated with villages. The number each garden closely correlated that about two birds per acre. The daily life discussed, particular pre-roosting assemblies flight roost, it shown flock leaves for roost at same time day, 30–35 min. before dusk. Observations made showed Egrets reached dusk these observations, combined those on feeding grounds, concluded using determined by grounds lie within minutes flying (about 12 miles) roost. Other species briefly discussed.
