摘要: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a public problem closely associated with numerous oral complications, such as coated tongue, xerostomia, salivary dysfunction, etc. Tongue diagnosis plays an important role in clinical prognosis and treatment of diabetes the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). This study investigated discriminating tongue features to distinguish between type 2 DM non-DM individuals through non-invasive TCM diagnosis.The for 199 patients DM, 372 individuals, serving control, are extracted by automatic system (ATDS). A total 9 features, namely, shape, color, fur thickness, saliva, fissure, ecchymosis, teeth mark, red dot. The demography, laboratory, physical examination, manifestation data groups were compared.Patients possessed significantly larger covering area yellow (58.5% vs 22.5%, P < .001), thick (50.8% 29.2%, bluish (P .001) than those control group. Also, higher portion (72.7% 55.2%, .05) long-term diabetics having color short-term counterparts was observed.The high prevalence fur, patient revealed that can serve preliminary screening procedure early detection light its simple nature, followed other more accurate testing process. To best our knowledge, this first attempt applying discrimination individuals.
